state-level Yoga Competition was organized by Devlok Socio-cultural Foundation at Ramgopal Mancha Howrah Maidan
The main focus of this event is to highlight the importance of Yoga among the masses and youth. The chief guest was Swami Divyagyanananda from Bharat Sevashram Sangha who spoke about the importance of Yoga in daily life. Among others were Acharya Anubhab Hazra, main organizer and founder of Devlok Socio-cultural Foundation, Sujay Chatterjee, journalist and founder of H. K. Media Infotainment, Indrarup Raychaudhury, junior scientist and head of UCMAYPSF, Dr. Shankar Sanyal, President of Harijan Sevak Sangha.
Several judges and other dignitaries were present in this program from all over West Bengal. Indrarup Raychaudhury is a well-known Yoga leader at national level. The main attraction of this event was participants who came from all the districts of West Bengal. From kids to elderly people, all of them participated in this grand event. The total competition was divided into 7 groups, according to age ( for both male and female ) and the winners were given attractive prizes. Almost 700 participants from different age groups joined in this program.
The crowd that came to see this event from all over West Bengal was above 2000. Guardians, parents, teachers, yoga enthusiasts, sports lovers all came to witness this moment.
Besides the main prizes and gifts, there were other prizes for those who participated in this event but failed to hold any rank.
The Devlok Socio-cultural Foundation is working for the promotion of Sanskrit language, Gita, Veda-Upanishads, Yoga , and many things related to Bharatiya culture.
This Yoga event carries the message-"Yoga is for all and all the people can be benefitted from it, irrespective of age and gender."
